Our CMO, Anastasia Pinchuk, recently represented Sirocco Energy at EIC Venture Day in Malmö, one of the European Innovation Council's events connecting EIC-supported companies with investors and corporate partners. Anastasia pitched in the Energy category, presenting our compact wind turbines designed for businesses in suburban and industrial areas.

Beyond the pitch, the day was about conversations with investors, fellow founders and the EIC team from across Europe. One question came up again and again: how can Europe make energy cheaper?
Investors still care a great deal about sustainability. But the conversations in Malmö made it clear that cost and reliability now matter just as much. Businesses want power that is affordable, predictable and available when they need it, not only when the sun is shining.
Our work at Sirocco is focused on this. Our turbines are designed to work where conventional wind turbines cannot: close to people and buildings. They produce no aerodynamic noise, start generating at wind speeds of around 5 m/s and need up to 10x less space than traditional turbines.
While we prepare our 30 kW pilot installation, we are already working on the next step. Through the SIROCCO project, funded by the European Union, we have started R&D on a 100 kW turbine. The goal is to give businesses a practical way to produce their own electricity on site and depend less on the grid.
We are grateful to the European Innovation Council team for the invitation and the excellent organisation!
