Sirocco Energy is pleased to announce the official launch of the project "Wind Turbine for Suburban and Industrial Decentralised Power Generation (SIROCCO)", funded by the European Union. The funding was secured under the prestigious European initiative EIC Ukraine Tech, which is implemented within the Horizon Europe program.

This step is a logical continuation of our journey. Following the successful piloting of the 8 kW unit and current testing of the 30 kW model, we are scaling our experience and moving towards creating a more powerful solution. The new 100 kW turbine will become the next product in our lineup, developed on the basis of already proven technology. It will allow us to serve significantly larger industrial and commercial projects. By implementing innovations on a larger scale, we achieve higher efficiency due to the new capacity, and therefore—even better cost-effectiveness and a shorter payback period for clients.

Thanks to the grant support, our team will implement a large-scale program over the next 24 months to design, manufacture, and demonstrate our flagship compact 100 kW wind turbine. Our goal is to create an effective solution for the decentralized power supply of suburban and industrial facilities.

From Laboratory Tests to an Industrial Prototype

Building on the successful operational experience of our previous pilot units, we plan to make a significant technological leap and advance the development readiness level of the 100 kW turbine. This involves deep engineering modeling, releasing a full package of design documentation, and constructing a fully functional industrial prototype for testing in real-world conditions.

Energy Freedom for Business

Our future product is a direct answer to the pain points of modern business: rapidly rising electricity prices and strict requirements for decarbonization, which is particularly critical for the recovery of Ukraine. We turn these challenges into new opportunities, offering the market fundamental infrastructural changes:

• Generation that pays off: local energy with a predictable cost (LCOE) at €0.03–0.06/kWh, which is up to 4 times cheaper than conventional industrial tariffs in Ukraine and the EU.
• Technology of "invisible" comfort: due to its compact footprint and low noise level, the turbine can be installed directly next to warehouses or production workshops.
• 24/7 operation: unlike solar, our wind works at night and during the cold season, covering the "blind spots" of solar panels (PV).

Effective Partnership and International Standards

In addition to technical development, the project lays the foundation for the commercial scaling of the company. Over the 24 months, we plan to validate the business model through a series of interviews with potential clients, secure the first commercial agreements, and fully prepare for the launch of pre-production and certification according to EN/IEC standards (obtaining the CE mark).
